IDAILY BREAD NOVEMBER 2020

[11/26, 11:44 PM] MY TESTIMONY: If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.

2 Corinthians 11:30

INSPIRATION

Paul had much to boast about compared to other men, but he knew that he was nothing and would be foolish to boast. But when God used him in spite of his weaknesses and faults, that was a clear call to boast, not in himself, but in God who had worked so powerfully through him, and in spite of him rather than because of him.

LET'S PRAY

O God, I have nothing worth boasting about, nothing that can earn merit before You, nothing that can contribute to my own salvation. I am Your workmanship, created unto good works but not created by good works. I renounce all boasting and exalting of self. You must increase, Lord, but I must decrease, in my own estimation.

[11/26, 11:59 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

Gal 1:3-4

INSPIRATION

Do you live like you believe God’s promises? When you meet someone new, are they able to tell your faith is strong? In just the opening of the letter, Paul declares his belief in God the Father and his son, Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection, our deliverance, and the will of God. What changes do you need to make in your life to live so your faith is clear as soon as people meet you?

Let's PRAY

Dear God, give me faith like Paul’s. Help me to live completely for you. May my faith be evident by all who meet me and speak with me. Send me a mentor to help me grow more mature in my faith. O Lord, give me the faith to believe all your promises are true. Thank you for giving us the apostles and your word to guide us. In Jesus’ name, amen.

[11/28, 7:45 PM] MY TESTIMONY: The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.

Luke 12:23

INSPIRATION

We may worry about what we will eat, but God has given us life, and we fail to thank him for it. We may worry about what we will wear, but God has given us a healthy body, and we do not think to thank him for it. We should not overlook the good gifts God has given us for the lack of some other necessity, which the Lord will provide in his time and way.

LET'S PRAY

We may worry about what we will eat, but God has given us life, and we fail to thank him for it. We may worry about what we will wear, but God has given us a healthy body, and we do not think to thank him for it. We should not overlook the good gifts God has given us for the lack of some other necessity, which the Lord will provide in his time and way.

[11/29, 11:10 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Night

When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

John 8:10-11

INSPIRATION

It is not whether or not others condemn us, but whether God condemns us that counts. He who does not believe in Jesus is "condemned already" (John 3:18), but there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). The crowd dropped their stones and withdrew, seeing they were sinners themselves. But Jesus, who was without sin, let the woman go out of pure mercy.

LET'S PRAY

Help us, O Lord, to remember that not to us but to you men must answer for their actions and attitudes. We are not the judges, but you are the Just Judge of all men. Our judgment fell on Christ, your justice being satisfied in his sacrifice. We pray for those who do not know you that they may turn to you before it is too late to escape your judgment.

[11/30, 7:38 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 8:30-31

INSPIRATION

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Let's PRAY

I want to be set free. I want to actively seek the truth. I want to live a life that helps others see truth through me, my merciful and loving God. This is the freedom that I choose. There is no other way for me. Thanks be to You and Your son, Jesus Christ, and it is in his name that I pray. Amen.

THE IMPORTANCE OF NAAMAN'S BATH IN RIVER JORDAN-

Today's Scripture 2 Kings 5:9–14 (NIV) Insight The Jordan River, where Naaman was told to “wash [himself] seven times” ( 2 Kings 5:10 ), was the primary source of water in the ancient Near East and is the most well-known river in the Bible. The melting snow of Mt. Hermon in the north is the main water source for the river that winds for 156 miles through the Sea of Galilee to the Dead Sea and has no outlet.  Joshua 3  records the parting of the waters of the Jordan so the Israelites could enter the land of Promise. Twice the waters of the river were parted in  2 Kings 2  when they were struck with the cloak of Elijah (vv. 8, 14). In the New Testament, John the Baptist baptized believers in Jesus and even Christ Himself in the Jordan ( Matthew 3:6 ,  13–17 ). SOURCE: OUR DAILY BREAD WHY DID NAAMAN HAD  TO DIP 7 TIMES It was probably a humbling act for a great commander, but  Naaman dipped  himself  seven times  in the muddy Jordan river. And God healed him

IDAILY BREAD NOVEMBER 2020 PRAYERS

[11/17, 6:14 PM] MY TESTIMONY: You, Lord, have proved to us who You are, by powerfully changing our hearts, minds, wills, and lives. You have confirmed to us the truth of Scripture and shown Yourself to be the Son of God. Being born of God, we have fellowship with You that the world cannot have because they refuse to believe. We confess with Peter Your full Divinity and humanity, and we know that "flesh and blood did not reveal this" to us. [11/18, 11:21 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Night Gracious God, I am still but a child and a student to your word. I thank you for putting on this earth the men and women who strive to do your work day and night, and pray that you may watch over them Lord, and give them your blessing. In them I vow to listen, in them I vow to study your name. Give them strength in all they do Lord, for I am still but a child and a student, and they are our guides in knowing you better. Amen.
